The Mayor and members of the community were truly impressed by the creativity, spirit and enthusiasm displayed throughout this year’s Holiday House Decorating Contest. Each home brought something special to our town, making the selection process both exciting and challenging.

We are proud to recognize the following 2025 winners, whose outstanding displays stood out amongst many wonderful entries:

BEST OVERALL

321 Wyckoff Avenue

Awarded to the home that exemplified exceptional creativity, design and overall presentation, capturing the true spirit of the season.

MOST OUTLANDISH

65 Lilyan Street

Recognizing the boldest and most eye-catching display – full of imagination, flair and unforgettable impact.

MOST CREATIVE

119 Longview Drive

Honoring the home that shows unique ideas, originality, and artistic expression in a truly inventive way.

This year’s judges consisted of Waldwick residents, including two children – one representing the Crescent side of town and one representing the Traphagen side of town – bringing community perspective to the process. We sincerely thank Courtney Wingate and her daughter, Lucy and Heather Stark and her daughter, Ella for serving as judges and sharing their time and enthusiasm.

In a wonderful example of true Waldwick spirit, the two 7-year-old judges who had not known each other prior to the contest formed a new friendship through this experience. They have since become friends and are already have playdates planned, reminding us that community events like this bring neighbors together in the most meaningful ways.

Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who participated, decorated and supported the Mayor’s 5th Annual Holiday House Decorating Contest.
