American Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding Program

Build Skills. Build Confidence. Make a Difference.

The American Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding Program is a fun, interactive four-day course designed for youth ages 11–14 who are interested in learning about water safety and the exciting role of a lifeguard.

Participants will:

  • Improve swimming skills and build endurance

  • Learn introductory rescue techniques and water safety skills

  • Gain an understanding of lifeguard responsibilities

  • Develop teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities

  • Build confidence through hands-on activities and group challenges

Lunch is provided each day.

Participants who successfully complete the course requirements may receive an American Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding Certificate. (This certificate does not qualify participants for employment as a lifeguard.)

Monday, July 27 – Thursday, July 30, 2026
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Optional Certification Day

Friday, July 31, 2026
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Participants may also register for the American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification offered on Friday.


Fees

Junior Lifeguarding Program (July 27–30): $350

Optional First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (July 31): $175
