A Tribute to Police Officer Christopher Goodell

Today marks the 11th Anniversary of the death of a friend, protector and a hero, Police Officer Christopher Goodell.

Chris will never be forgotten; he will always live in our hearts and in Waldwick. Chris left his mark of service and love that no one will ever forget.

To honor Chris and keep his memory alive, we must live our lives as he did, putting others first, caring for your neighbor, being supportive, being willing to help one another and being a role model to our young residents.

On this 11th Anniversary of his death, let us remember all the good that Chris has done, his unwavering dedication, bravery and sacrifice.

Let us always remember his family, and always remember that when you look up to the sky it will be Chris that will be looking down on us watching over and protecting us from above.

To the living, I am gone,
To the sorrowful, I will never return,
To the angry, I was cheated,
But to the happy, I am at peace,
And to the faithful, I have never left.

I cannot speak, but I can listen.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you stand upon a shore gazing at a beautiful sea,
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity,
 Remember me.

Remember me in your heart:
 Your thoughts, and your memories,
 Of the times we loved,
 The times we cried,
 The times we fought,
 The times we laughed.
For if you always think of me, I will never have gone.

Margaret Mead

Thank you for protecting and caring for all of us in Waldwick

Rest in Peace

 Police Officer Christopher Goodell #38
