The Waldwick Municipal Pool's competitive Swim Team is a great way to have fun, get exercise and meet new friends. Open to Waldwick & Midland Park swimmers!
ELIGIBILITY
Competitive Swim Team Participants must be between the ages of 5 and 18 (school age K-12) and able to swim the length of a twenty-five yard pool.
Swim Practice starts Monday, June 23. During the initial practice, the Head Coach will conduct a skills eligibility assessment.
Practices are held Monday - Thursday in practice groups as follows:
Mini Warriors - Ages 5-8
5:15 pm - 5:45 pm
Junior Warriors - Ages 9-12
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Senior Warriors - Ages 13 and up
5:45 pm - 7:00 pm
PARENTAL COMMITMENT
- Attend a mandatory Parent Meeting on Monday, June 23 at 5:30 pm. Bring your child's completed Participant Waiver and Consent form to this meeting.
- Registration fee - $125 per swimmer and includes both swim team registration and pool membership for swimmer only.
- Parent Volunteer Service Option - $50.00 fee per swimmer will be added if you Opt Out.
- Completion of waiver/consent form. Click HERE to download the Participant Waiver and Consent form, fill it out, and physically bring it to the first practice.
- Get swimmers to practices and meets on time.
- Help with year-end team party.
SWIMMERS COMMITMENT
- Attend Team Practices.
- 6 League-sponsored meets.
- Meets begin in early July and generally occur twice a week.
- All meets follow the same format.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
- Fee: $125 per swimmers.
- Swimmers must purchase their own goggles, swim caps and swimsuits. Swimsuit Sale Monday June 23, 5:00pm at the pool.
- Swimmers will receive a t-shirt only.
The Waldwick Swim Team is seeking an energetic, patient, and fun individual knowledgeable about swimming to be an Assistant Coach. The candidate must be available to coach during early evening practices from June 23, 2025 through the second week in August. The ideal candidate will have a love for swimming, a commitment to fostering a positive team environment, and the ability to work with swimmers of all ages and skill levels. This role includes coaching swimmers, assisting in practices, providing guidance, and ensuring safety during swim team meets and other events.
Salary is $1,400 for the season.
