NEW 2026 Spring Newsletter:
The NWBRHC Spring 2026 Newsletter highlights upcoming environmental initiatives, community events, and helpful tips for residents. This season’s focus includes the “Slow Mow Summer” program to support pollinators, guidance on planting native species and trees, and reminders about special recycling events. Residents are encouraged to take part in these efforts and upcoming programs to help keep Waldwick sustainable and environmentally friendly.
The Northwest Bergen Regional Health Commission (NWBRHC) was organized in 1957 and serves as Waldwick's Health Department. NWBRHC’s mission is to provide professional and efficient public health and environmental services to the residents of the communities they serve. With guidance through a state mandate and policies of the Waldwick Board of Health, NWBRHC protects and promotes the public’s health by using health promotion and education, disease prevention, environmental enforcement, and inspection activities. Full time personnel include a New Jersey State Licensed Health Officer, Environmental Health Specialist/Sanitary Inspectors, Registrars and Health Educators.
