Operation Reassurance

The Waldwick Police Department's Operation Reassurance Program is a free community service designed to help promote the safety, well-being, and independence of senior citizens who live alone.

Maintaining independence is important, and this program provides added peace of mind through a simple daily check-in. Participants place a brief telephone call to police dispatch each day at a prearranged time. If a call is not received, a dispatcher will attempt to contact the participant by telephone. If contact cannot be made, a Waldwick police officer will respond to the residence to conduct a welfare check.

Participation in the program is voluntary and is available to senior citizens 55 and older who would benefit from a daily wellness check.
